  • Do I have to have a rehearsal?
    Yes! Walking down the aisle may seem simple, but the day of your event is not the time to figure out how to move from one animation system to the next. Hover height - pose positioning - walking order - timing. These things take a few minutes to explain so that panic doesn't set in during your ceremony. It is helpful that anyone who will participate (wedding party/entourage) be present at the rehearsal.
  • What if I change the date of my event or have other changes to my invitations after they have been created?
    Once invitations are made, and you change your date, name, or something else you will be responsible for paying for a new set of invitations. If the mistake is ours we will fix it without penalty.
  • WHAT ARE THE PAYMENT POLICIES?
    All payments must be made to BlueMoon Weddings & Event Planning. All Fees are NON Refundable! Payments should be made ONLY to one of our vendors in the shop for your initial payment. Remaining balances should be paid directly to the ATM in the BlueMoon main shop. Please NEVER pay any avatar that says they work for us (not even the owners), including anyone lingering in our shop. WEDDINGS Upon booking, there is a L$5000 deposit paid directly to the store vendor. In the case of the "Runaway With Me" and "Going To The Chapel" packages, the complete balance is due at the vendor. If you purchase "As You Wish!" you must have paid a minimum of L$10,000 toward your package by the time you have your add-on experience If you purchase "Is This The Real Life? Is This Just Fantasy?" you must have paid a minimum of L$10,000 PER EXPERIENCE before you have your add-on experiences Remaining balances are due fourteen (14) days before the wedding's date to the ATM in the BlueMoon Information building. Late payments may require rebooking your date. As a reminder, any event can only be rebooked once. Any additional rebooking will have a fee. Any wedding rescheduled seven (7) days or less before the event will be charged a venue rebuild fee. Upon booking, payment for individual items and services is due to the store's vendor. EVENTS All events are paid IN FULL to the vendor upon booking. Upon booking, payment for individual items and services is due to the store's vendor. RESTAURANT All dining events are paid IN FULL to the vendor upon booking. Upon booking, payment for individual items and services is due to the store's vendor.
  • WHAT ARE THE PAYMENT OPTIONS?
    WEDDINGS A down payment should always be made to one of our vendors in the main shop. All remaining payments can be made toward your event package at any time via the ATM in the lobby of our shop. Please NEVER EVER pay an avatar for services. We only ever take initial payments through the vendor and the remaining balances through the ATM. Remaining balances are due fourteen (14) days before the event date. Late payments may require rebooking your date. EVENTS All events are single payment. Payments are made at the time of booking using the vendor at the BlueMoon Store. RESTAURANT All dining events are single payment. Payments are made at the time of booking using the vendor at the BlueMoon Store.
  • ​WHAT IS YOUR REFUND/RETURN POLICY?
    Sadly, we do not refund any money once a service has been booked and work has started. Fees paid are non-refundable but, in some cases, can be transferable. Bookings can be rescheduled once, up to 7-days before the scheduled event, and can be rescheduled (pending date availability) up to 90-days from the original purchased date. ((Within 7 days of the event, no refunds or reschedules are possible)) BREAK-UPS If you and your beloved break up before your event date, the paid balance can be transferred to another qualifying BlueMoon service within 90-days of the original purchase date. The remaining balance is nonrefundable if the transferred service costs less than the canceled balance. If the transferred service costs more than the canceled service, the remaining balance is due according to the payment policy for that event type. Outstanding balances on the canceled event will be forgiven. A' LA CARTE A' la carte items are 100% non-refundable nor transferable. A'la carte services are 100% non-refundable and, in some cases, may be transferable. Note: The avatar that made the original purchase is the one who can use transferable services.
  • DO YOU OFFER GIFT CARDS?
    We do! They are available in various denominations and can be combined if received from multiple people. They are also refillable! The gift card vendor is located at the front desk of the BlueMoon Mainstore.
  • DOES BLUEMOON HAVE THE RIGHT TO REFUSE?
    Yes!! BlueMoon reserves the right to refuse anyone who is mistreating another. As humans, we should always talk to each other with the same kindness with which we would want to be treated. We understand we all have bad days but taking it out on someone else is inexcusable. We reserve the right to refuse if you or a party member on your behalf mistreats one of our staff. Always remember the golden rule, "Treat others as you want to be treated" Refunds will not be given in these instances, so please be kind to one another.
  • WHAT IS AN AFTER HOURS FEE?
    An after hours fee is a fee charged for any event that is past our normal business hours. After hours at BlueMoon starts at 7 PM SLT and goes through to 7 AM SLT and is a 5000L charge. Our after-hours "fee" makes it so we can "convince" (aka bribe) our amazing staff to stay up late past bedtimes and against their better judgment to make your event a success. They may be tired but they are a dedicated, amazing, bunch of people so we give them a little more to make it worth their while, as they drag around tired in RL the next day ☻.   • WHAT IF I DON'T LIKE AN ITEM IN MY PACKAGE?
    Everyone has different tastes and aesthetics. We have a varied selection of items available in our BlueMoon Shops on our website. These are the options to choose from. If you do not like the options available. You are welcome to purchase your own and we will allow you to drop it on our sim. We cannot refund you the cost of the item from your package, but you can substitute for one item from these a la carte add-ons: Fireworks Bubbles Dove Release Cake-cutting Animation Champagne Toast Animation Garter Toss Bouquet Toss Package rates are pre-determined to give you the best value. Breaking apart a package means we would have to charge a la carte pricing which will cost you more money.
  • VISUAL MEDIA DISCLOSURE:
    PHOTOGRAPHERS All photographers are freelance agents that work with BlueMoon. They are not employees of BlueMoon. Although we collect payment for the photographers, questions about their work, use policies, timeline, etc. should be directed towards them. Please tell us if you have trouble with a photographer, however any greviences you have with a photographer need to be settled with the photographer themselves. Please note, photographers are not under obligation to share or distribute their raw photos. VIDEOGRAPHERS All videographers are freelance agents that work with BlueMoon. They are not employees of BlueMoon. Videographers manage their own payments and rates vary. If you are interested in a videographer, please let us know at the time of booking and we will put you in contact with one. Please tell us if you have trouble with a videographer, however any greviences you have with a videoographer need to be settled with the videographer themselves. Please note, videographers are not under obligation to share or distribute their raw footage.
  • WHEN DO WE GET OUR PICTURES TAKEN AND WHEN DO WE GET THEM BACK?
    Our Photographers work so hard to capture your special memories for you, so we try not to waste the little time you have taking staged photos. For group photos taken the day of your event, please make sure those people you wish to be in the photo are present and aware at the designated time set by your event coordinator and photographer. If everyone pays attention to directions the photoshoot takes only a few moments. We will sometimes do staged and group photos on a scheduled day after the event where all parties can meet and do them (if you are having any of those done). When that happens we will rez your venue out again and have the people in the photos come back to get them done. Lag in SL is a real thing. Sometimes those moments we want most are not captured due to rendering or rezzing issues. Our photographers do their best to work around these issues. However if one becomes an issue, we will do our best to make sure those lasting memories are yours to share from here until the end of time. Photographs usually take approximately 14-days after your event is completed. Please contact your photographer for the delivery timeline.
  • I HAD A VIDEO MADE WHEN WILL IT BE POSTED?
    Videographers at BlueMoon are subcontracted to work for us. Each videographer has his or her own time frame for how long it takes them. Please check with your videographer to see how long they expects it to be. Lag in SL is a real thing. Sometimes those moments we want most are not captured due to rendering or rezzing issues. Our videographers do their best to work around these issues. However, if one becomes an issue, we will do our best to make sure those lasting memories are yours to share from here until the end of time. We will sometimes do reshoots on a scheduled day after the event where all parties can meet and do them. When that happens we will rez your venue out again and have the people in the shots come back to get them done. Videographers usually take approximately a week after your event is completed. Please contact your videographer for the delivery timeline.
  • WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A CUSTOM VENUE AND A CUSTOMIZATION?
    Well glad you asked, there is a HUGE difference! With a venue rental or wedding package we allow some customization. Customization at BlueMoon is classified as your ability to pick the color choices of the tintable objects in the venue (with a few special exceptions on “some” venues). We however will not be able to make any structural changes. After these customizations are done you will have 1 opportunity before your event to look over your venue and make 1 change. Any further changes will be subject to a 1K charge per change. A Custom Venue is any larger change. Larger changes that include but are not limited to terraforming, different objects added into the build, changing placement of pieces. Etcetera …… Custom Venues are subject to a charge of 10K. These fees are for the builders time and possibly objects that need to be purchased to complete your build. (If the items you require go over the 10K cost for us you will also be charged accordingly). Custom builds are reserved for 3-months before being added to the BlueMoon Catalog. Off-sim custom builds require at least 1/4 of a sim and at least 5000 prims available. BlueMoon also requires 24/7 access and building rights to the sim for at least 45-days before the event. An additional fee of 10,000L will be added for off-sim custom builds.
  • CAN I COPY YOUR BUILD?
    As flattering as that should be it’s not and we do not allow ( by both BlueMoon & TOS) any recreation of our builds. All builds made at BlueMoon are the sole intellectual property of BlueMoon Weddings & Event Planning and copying of them. We have gone to a lot of lengths so make sure our builds are unique and we have something other people don't have. In that being said we ask that you respect the creators by not copying their venues and instead purchasing the use of one of ours and supporting the creative artists of Second Life. Without the creative minds in our world we wouldn't have the amazing things we have today. Thank You for admiring them but thank you even more for not violating our rights.
  • WHEN CAN I VISIT MY VENUE TO MAKE COMMENTS AND CHANGES?
    Due to BlueMoon's possibility of having multiple events in the same week, you will have the opportunity to review your venue on the day of your rehearsal. No structural changes can be made. You have one opportunity to review your customizations and make 1 change. Any additional changes will have a 1000L change fee. All changes must be communicated and completed at-least 24-hours before your scheduled event time to allow for the necessary adjustments and sim restarts. Specialized items added to the venue will have a purchase fee added to your package at cost. ((Visiting a venue prior to your rehearsal, that is the same selected venue as your event, might not be finished, or is out for another event. Please refrain from contacting your coordinator about the state of the venue until your rehearsal date.))
  • HOW MUCH LEAD TIME IS NEEDED FOR A CUSTOM BUILD?
    Custom builds take time, energy, and effort. As we all know, we have real lives as well as second lives. Because of this, we ask for a 45-day lead time to allow our creative building team the opportunity to create a venue that is as unique as a blue moon.
  • THERE IS LAG, MY WEDDING PARTY CRASHED, AND MY BETROTHED IS LATE NOW WHAT?"
    In some of these cases, we can postpone a short amount of time, but that is not always possible. If it is something within our control, we will happily help you. However, if it is out of our control, we do charge a fee of 1K to pay our staff for the lost time on any delay past 30 minutes. Please be aware Dj’s start time starts the minute the wedding is supposed to start. Anything past that, they will have to be paid an extra fee of 1,200L per hour.
  • ​WHAT IF MY EVENT IS LAGGY OR THE SIM GOES DOWN?
    We are not responsible for lag of any sort. Lag is caused by many things in Second Life and sometimes is hard to avoid. However we always do our part and remove all scripts from unnecessary objects, and reset our sim a handful of times before your event to promote sim health and usability. You can help this though by reminding your guests to remove as many scripted objects as they can ( Baby Talkers, AO’s, Typers, and HUDs till after your ceremony is over). Objects such as those listed above when controlled will help us decrease lag and get you down the aisle without a problem. We also recommend you do not pick a Tuesday for your wedding. We won’t stop you but we can not control what Linden Labs does and that is their day for rolling restarts, and system upgrades.
  • HOW DO I REDEEM A PRIZE OR GIVEAWAY?
    BlueMoon Weddings & Event Planning (Weddings and Parties) Determine what package you'd like to redeem your prize on. Contact kasha.morgath directly, within 90-days of the award to set up your event, and make arrangements to pay the difference in the package if you choose to upgrade. Enchantment Gardens Restaurant Determine what package you'd like to redeem your prize on. Contact lizzybright directly, within 90-days of the award to set up your event, and make arrangements to pay the difference in the package if you choose to upgrade.
  • HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO REDEEM A PRIZE OR GIVEAWAY?
    Any prize or giveaway has 90-days to be used from the date awarded. This includes anything from the BlueMoon Shops, BlueMoon Weddings & Event Planning, and Enchantment Gardens Restaurant.
