There was something almost magical about watching Michelle and Neo become husband and wife beneath the trees of their own beautiful venue.

Majestic waterfalls provided the backdrop to their ceremony, while the surrounding trees cast a soft, natural shade over the celebration. Gentle pathways wandered from the ceremony toward the reception, giving the entire venue an intimate, peaceful feeling — as though every part of the landscape had been designed to lead them naturally from one chapter of their lives into the next.

And then came the vows.

The kind that make a room go quiet.

The kind that make people reach for a tissue.

The kind that remind everyone listening that the most beautiful love stories aren't necessarily the easiest ones.

Michelle and Neo's ceremony was deeply moving, and more than a few guests found themselves shedding happy tears as the two of them stood before their loved ones and promised to keep choosing one another.

Because that is really what their story is about.

Neo's vows carried that same beautiful theme from his own perspective.

It all started with a Linden...

Long before the waterfalls, the vows, the wedding rings, and the fireworks, there was a Linden.

Well...

Technically, there was a Thundr match and a Linden.

Michelle and Neo met through Thundr in Second Life on January 20, 2024. Neo messaged her, they started talking, and before long, he decided to try a little trickery.

He sent Michelle some Lindens and claimed they had been sent to the wrong person.

His plan?

Get her to send them back so he could figure out where she was.

Unfortunately for Neo, Michelle was already several steps ahead of him.

She teleported to another sim, sent the Lindens back, and then teleported home again — leaving Neo to arrive at the place where she had sent the money and discover that she wasn't there.

The trick was on him.

Michelle remembers the moment with considerably more amusement than Neo probably did.

From there, they exchanged Discord information, talked for hours, and began discovering just how naturally they fit together.

Neo's first impressions were that Michelle was smart, funny, and clearly not someone he was going to outsmart easily.

He wasn't wrong.

Their conversations turned into laughter. Laughter turned into time spent together. And time spent together slowly became something neither of them wanted to live without.

Before long, Neo was accompanying Michelle to her auntie's 20th Rez Day party.

And little did he know that he wasn't simply meeting Michelle's family.

He was meeting Papa Bear.

Apparently, when Neo eventually asked for Michelle's hand, Papa Bear had a very specific arrangement in mind:

Neo could have Michelle on loan...

Because she would always belong to Papa Bear.

Thankfully, Neo seems to have accepted the terms.

Their August 22nd celebration was filled with the kind of moments that turn a wedding into a memory everyone carries home.

As Michelle and Neo made their way out of the ceremony, bubbles floated around the newly

married couple, creating a playful and magical exit.

At the reception, Wolfie performed live for their first dance, giving the newlyweds a beautiful moment together as husband and wife.

There was a bouquet toss.

A garter toss.

A wedding cake.

A heartfelt speech from Korena.

There was laughter, celebration, dancing, and plenty of love surrounding the newlyweds.

And when the night finally began drawing to a close, the celebration ended exactly as it should have:

With fireworks lighting up the sky.

A spectacular ending to a day that had already been filled with so much heart.

Michelle and Neo didn't stand at the altar promising that life would always be easy.

They promised something better.

They promised to listen.

To grow.

To reach for each other.

To come back.

To build.

To stay.

And above all, to keep choosing one another.

From a Thundr match and a mischievous Linden trick to a wedding overlooking waterfalls, surrounded by family and friends, their journey has taken them somewhere neither of them could have predicted that January day in 2024.

On August 22nd, they stood together and made it official.

Michelle and Neo are now Mr. & Mrs. Rookstown.

And if their vows are any indication, this isn't the end of their story.

It's the beginning of the chapter where they get to keep choosing each other — together.
