The Anniversary of Hazey & Paul Zen 07.05.26 @ 12:00 PM SLT

Happy Anniversary, Paul & Hazey! ❤️
Some anniversaries are filled with candlelight, quiet conversation, and elegant dinners.
This wasn't one of those anniversaries.
The evening began exactly as you'd expect: a beautifully prepared romantic dinner, soft lighting, and an attentive server ready to provide an unforgettable experience. In fact...everything seemed almost too normal.
Which immediately made Paul and Hazey suspicious.
Having celebrated their wedding with BlueMoon just one year ago—and with Hazey now spinning tunes as one of BlueMoon's own DJs—they've learned an important lesson: if everything appears perfectly ordinary, something is probably about to go wonderfully off the rails.
Their server, Ela, began the evening with the utmost professionalism. Unfortunately for the carefully prepared script she'd been handed, that professionalism had a remarkably short lifespan before Ela wandered gloriously into improvisation.
Then came the first clue that the evening wasn't going to stay romantic for long.
Not far from their candlelit table sat a fully stocked food fight arena.
Veterans of BlueMoon antics, Paul and Hazey recognized it immediately. This very table had made its unforgettable debut during the romantic dinner on their honeymoon after their wedding. Seeing it again felt less like a surprise and more like an old friend saying, "Miss me?"
Things took another delightful turn when Ela enthusiastically recommended the Chef's Special...
Kermit's Revenge.
For everyone else, it sounded like an intriguing menu item.
For Paul and Hazey?
Absolutely not.
"Kermit's Revenge" is one of those legendary inside jokes best left unexplained—and even better left uneaten. Without missing a beat, the couple wisely declined the special and opted for the ravioli instead, proving that sometimes the bravest decision is knowing when not to be adventurous.
Dinner finished.
Romance lasted exactly long enough.
The two practically sprinted toward the food fight table, where dignity was immediately abandoned in favor of flying cuisine. Before anyone could declare a winner, Paul took a direct hit square on the nose while a perfectly aimed slice of ham found its mark between Hazey's eyes. It was less "fine dining" and more "culinary warfare," and everyone involved seemed perfectly happy with that outcome.
Once the battle had ended and the casualties had been counted—mostly innocent mashed potatoes and defenseless slices of deli meat—Ela reappeared with wet wipes, because every great server knows that cleanup is simply the final course.
Soon afterward, family and friends arrived, and the celebration moved indoors.
The dance floor came alive with laughter, music, and enough energy to power the entire venue. At some point, because apparently chaos wasn't finished yet, the food fight table was wheeled inside, where another battle promptly erupted. Watching adults weaponize mashed potatoes while trying to dodge incoming bread rolls is a sight few people ever forget—and somehow it felt perfectly fitting for Paul and Hazey.
As the evening drew to a close, the laughter gave way to one final breathtaking moment. Brilliant fireworks lit up the night sky, bringing a beautiful ending to an anniversary that perfectly reflected the couple themselves: full of laughter, unforgettable memories, and just the right amount of wonderfully organized chaos.
Happy first anniversary, Paul and Hazey!
May every year together be filled with love, laughter, unforgettable adventures...and may Kermit's Revenge remain safely off your dinner plates forever.
With love,
